金鶯左投陳偉殷開季2個月來只1勝是他大聯盟生涯最長的開季勝投荒，他將於台灣時間明晨7時主場迎戰紅襪，與他較勁的是表現還不在狀況內的波塞羅，這正是金鶯打線「補償」他奪本季第2勝的好機會，利多處還包括金鶯強打捕手韋特斯傷癒歸隊。
陳偉殷5月10日本季首勝後，已長達1月沒勝投進帳，目前還頂著3連敗之身。不過他一直維持頗佳狀態，上一場對美聯戰績第1的太空人隊先發6.1局失2分，飆出本季新高的9次三振，助金鶯中止5連敗。
他累積出賽11場有7場優質先發為金鶯先發輪值之最，目前自責分率3.18也勝過生涯的3.78，就是「歹運」苦等不到隊友適時的支援。
壓低被全壘打過多的毛病是陳偉殷的大課題。他本季先發11場裡有9場挨轟，共被敲11轟，且連續被敲全壘打的場次來到5場。紅襪精神領袖「老爹」歐提茲、納波里、波格茲都敲過他全壘打，且紅襪陣中還有強打H.拉米瑞茲，這幾位打者都是潛在威脅。
特別一提，陳偉殷過去3季先發與韋特斯搭配最多場次，他從2012年菜鳥球季起，就是藉由韋特斯的引導展開大聯盟生涯。明日之戰有可能是韋特斯（去年因右手肘韌帶置換手術整季報銷）歸隊後，首度與陳偉殷搭檔。
